Southern Miss will head to Lexington Saturday as almost 28-point underdogs to Kentucky.
The USM coaches know they will have their hands full against an SEC opponent, but they believe their players will be ready for the challenge.
“This is why you play college football,” Southern Miss head coach Will Hall said in an interview this week. “We understand at the end of the day, it’s football. You know, like the movie Hoosiers. Throw that thing up there and drop it down…you know the rim is 10-feet tall no matter where you play basketball at. This is football on turf, you know and our kids are going to play football.
