To put the icing on the cake following South Carolina’s embarrassing season-opening loss to North Carolina, the Gamecocks will now be without their starting quarterback for the foreseeable future.
Jake Bentley, who is going into his fourth year as the team’s starter, has reportedly broken his foot and is expected to be out roughly six weeks, per Mike Uva of Fox 57 in South Carolina.
Breaking: Ryan Hilinski has been informed from the USC coaching staff that he will start this week at QB for the Gamecocks and moving forward, per source. One source told me Bentley is expected to be out at least 6 weeks with a broken foot but it could be longer.
