Last night’s game at South Carolina wasn’t a total loss for the University of Kentucky athletics department.
Under new Southeastern Conference rules, South Carolina must pay UK $100,000 for allowing fans on the court after last night’s game.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (January 24, 2024) – The Southeastern Conference announced today that the University of South Carolina will be fined for a violation of the league’s access to competition area policy due to fans entering the court following its men’s basketball game against the University of Kentucky on January 23.
