Two sources have told Nation of Blue that Kentucky associate head coach Kenny Payne is very much in the mix for a job with the New York Knicks.
Payne has close ties to Knicks Executive VP William “Worldwide” Wesley and team president Leon Rose.
There are conflicting thoughts on how far along a potential deal is.
One source says it’s a “done deal” and Kentucky will turn to “Bruiser Flint or Orlando Antigua” to replace Payne.
The other source says there is an offer on the table and Payne is weighing his options.
Either way, it’s safe to say that Payne to the Knicks is a very real possibility.
