It was an ugly win, but it was a win.
The Kentucky Wildcats became bowl eligible for the third straight season with their 14-7 grind-it-out win vs. the Vanderbilt Commodores. It certainly wasn’t a pretty game, with Terry Wilson completing just three passes for 18 yards and a touchdown.
But nonetheless, Kentucky gets the win against a scrappy Vanderbilt team behind Benny Snell’s 169 yards and a touchdown, while the defense balled out and held the Dores to just 284 yards.
The Cats are now 6-1 and heading to the postseason for a third-straight year, something that has rarely been done in the history of this program.
