Kentucky basketball forward Nate Sestina thinks the Wildcats will need to step up their physicality in the opener versus No. 1 Michigan State.
LEXINGTON - Asked at Kentucky basketball’s Oct. 1 media day what he still did not know about his team, coach John Calipari wondered aloud if the group of five-star talents he’d assembled would be physical enough.
A month later that question has yet to be answered. If anything, the concern has only grown with junior forward Nick Richards battling a sprained left ankle.
Perhaps most worrisome is the play of sophomore forward EJ Montgomery, who did not reach double digits in points or rebounds in Kentucky’s two exhibitions.
