Even without three key pieces to the rotation, Kentucky men’s basketball still ran away with its season opener.
The No. 4 Wildcats cruised to a 95-63 victory over the Howard Bison on Monday night in Rupp Arena, the first real game of the regular season for both programs. Kentucky was without reigning National Player of the Year Oscar Tshiebwe, Bob Cousy award nominee Sahvir Wheeler, and potential breakout star Daimion Collins for various reasons. Despite that, the ‘Cats took control of the contest early and earned its first win of the 2022-23 season in the process.
