I don’t know how up you are on your Louisiana-Monroe news, but apparently, the Warhawks fired head coach Todd Berry on Saturday following a 59-21 loss to Arkansas State. The search is on for a new head coach and today, The News Star’s Adam Hunsucker listed Shannon Dawson as a potential candidate.
Dawson is a Louisiana native and coached at Southeastern Louisiana at the beginning of his career, so the move wouldn’t be totally off base; however, as even Hunscuker notes, it’s not like Dawson has a lot to brag about after this season, pointing out that UK’s currently 109th in the FBS in scoring.
