SEC suspends Alabama men’s basketball player Mohamed Wague for elbow during Florida game

Alabama will be without big man Mohamed Wague for Saturday’s game at Kentucky.

The Southeastern Conference suspended Wague for one game for his violent elbow against a Florida player earlier in the week.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (February 22, 2024) – Alabama men’s basketball student-athlete Mohamed Wague has been suspended by the Southeastern Conference for the Crimson Tide’s next contest for committing a fighting act (as defined by NCAA playing rules) in a game versus Florida Wednesday night in Tuscaloosa, it was announced by the SEC on Thursday.
