SEC Coaches Can No Longer Hide Injury Statuses of Players Prior to Games

The league has mandated that coaches must disclose the availability of all players prior to games.

The new rules go into affect immediately and apply to football, basketball and baseball.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (August 29, 2024) – Southeastern Conference schools will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes to participate in each Conference game in the sports of football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball, beginning with the 2024 SEC football season, it was announced Thursday.
