Scott Satterfield has lost almost all of his offensive assistant coaches

There’s a “Help Wanted” sign hanging up at Cardinal Stadium.

Scott Satterfield is running out of assistant coaches. Friday morning Tom Pelssero reported that UofL offensive coordinator Dwayne Ledford is leaving the Cards to become the offensive line coach for the Atlanta Falcons. The move is sounding alarms on Floyd Street.

Ledford’s departure is significant. Even though he was not with Satterfield at Appalachian State, he was the highest-profile assistant, considered by many as the head coach’s righthand man. It would be akin to Vince Marrow leaving Mark Stoops.

Satterfield isn’t just losing his best assistant coach.
