The curious saga of Daniel Orton continues. On Monday, the Santa Cruz Warriors, a D-League team in California, announced they are cutting ties with Orton even though Orton was putting up pretty good numbers. Orton started in all 20 games he played for the Warriors, averaging 13.2 points and 5 rebounds in 23.5 minutes; however, he was often in foul trouble, fouling out of seven games and finishing another six games with five fouls. Warriors head coach Casey Hill said Orton’s tendency to be in foul trouble made it tough for the team to develop chemistry on the court.
