Another former Cat is looking for a new job. According to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, Samford has parted ways with Scott Padgett.
Padgett, who played at Kentucky from 1994-99 and was on John Calipari’s staff during the 2009-10 season, has been the head coach at Samford since 2014. This season, the Bulldogs were 10-23, finishing 8th in the Southern Conference. Padgett’s record during his six seasons at Samford was 84-115. Last week, Padgett’s former teammate Allen Edwards was also fired from Wyoming after four seasons (60-76 record).
We’ll always have that time Padgett called out Karl Hess for “stepping” to him when he pleaded for a call during a timeout.
