Senior weak side LB Ryan Flannigan has been out of commission since August 11th, when he collided with 320 lb Jason Hyde in practice. The hit injured Flannigan’s right shoulder, relegating him to a sling and stationary bike through the past couple weeks of practice. However, according to this article from the Courier-Journal, he’s regained full range of motion in his shoulder and hopes to be cleared for full-contact practice next week. Though frustrated, Ryan’s been operating under the assumption that he will play next Saturday:
“It’s been very frustrating with the first game coming up,” Flannigan said.
