COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Romeo Langford and three Kentucky players made the first cut.
The New Albany five-star guard and Wildcats freshmen Hamidou Diallo, PJ Washington and Kevin Knox were among the 18 finalists announced Tuesday for the USA U19 World Championship team.
Coach John Calipari and members of the USA Basketball committee announced the decision after three days of practices, which featured mostly 5-on-5 scrimmages.
The 12-man roster that will make the trip to the World Championships in Cairo will be announced later this week.
