In the Atlanta Dream’s second preseason contest, Howard recorded just three points, three assists and three rebounds in 24 minutes. Consequently, the Dream fell in a 94-78 blowout loss to the Connecticut Sun.

Howard’s numbers were even worse upon further inspection. The 2022 WNBA Draft first overall pick shot 1-6 from the field and 1-3 from beyond the arc. Her poor performance was a far cry from her preseason debut. In the former Wildcats’ first game with the Dream, she recorded 15 points and five boards in 18 minutes.
