Kentucky Women’s Basketball couldn’t pull off the upset in Bloomington on Sunday night, but Rhyne Howard still managed to make some history.
The senior guard scored 23 points in Kentucky’s 88-67 loss to No. 8 Indiana, giving her a total of 1,713 career points through just 83 games played. As a result, Howard passed former Wildcat star Maci Morris on the program’s all-time scoring list and now sits at sixth-most in school history. Morris finished her four-year career in Lexington with 1,692 points in 129 games played.
Of the 17 Kentucky WBB players with at least 1,400 career points, Howard is the only one under the 100 games played threshold.
