Rhyne Howard’s rookie campaign is off to a picture-perfect start.
The former Kentucky Wildcat and recently selected No. 1 overall WNBA Draft pick has looked every bit the part of a future star early in her pro career. Suiting up for the Atlanta Dream in her second game of the season on Wednesday, Howard posted a game-high 21 points and eight rebounds in a game-high 34 minutes played, connecting on five made triples while turning the ball over just once.
But most importantly, she led the Dream to a very encouraging 2-0 start (for the first time since 2017) with a 77-75 win against the Los Angeles Sparks.
