Recruiting the state of Kentucky changed in December. Scott Satterfield’s abrupt departure brought Jeff Brohm back to the University of Louisville. There’s now more competition for the best high school football players the Commonwealth has to offer.
Following Bobby Petrino’s departure, high school coaches across the state vented their frustrations with his regime after they were largely ignored by his Louisville coaching staff. Scott Satterfield vowed to change that, but it was an empty promise. In three full recruiting classes Satterfield only signed three players ranked in the top ten in the state of Kentucky.
During Satterfield’s run, Purdue might have actually been the Wildcats’ greatest recruiting threat in the state of Kentucky.
