Kentucky Sports Radio is reporting that Louisville receivers coach Lamar Thomas is leaving “>to take the same position at Kentucky. Thomas will replace Chad Scott, who recently left to become tight end coach at North Carolina.
Thomas spent the past two seasons on Bobby Petrino’s staff at Louisville after coaching for Petrino at Western Kentucky for the 2013 season. He got his coaching start at Boynton Beach (Fla.) High in 2008, then was wide receiver coach at FCS member Hampton in 2011 and ’12.
He will work under new UK coordinator Eddie Grant, who had held the same position at Cincinnati.
