Despite Kentucky forward Nate Sestina telling John Calipari he would return to Lexington for another season if the NCAA granted seniors an additional year of eligibility, it is not likely that opportunity comes to fruition.
This afternoon, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports broke the news that, despite the cancellation of all conference and national tournaments, the NCAA is “unlikely” to grant an extra season of eligibility to athletes who participated in winter sports this past year.
“The NCAA is unlikely to grant an extra year of eligibility for student athletes who participated in winter sports and had their seasons cut short due to coronavirus,” Rothstein reported.
