Ready for a Friday news dump? According to the Kansas City Star, the NCAA is about to issue a notice of allegations to the Kansas men’s basketball program that will detail “multiple major violations.”
The NCAA has been investigating Kansas for the past several months after the Jayhawks were named in the FBI’s probe into the pay-for-play scheme. Former Adidas employee T.J. Gassnola testified in federal court last October that he made payments on behalf of the shoe company to the mother of Kansas basketball play Billy Preston and the guardian fo Silvio De Sousa. Gassnola was sentenced to probation, while De Sousa was given a two-year suspension by the NCAA, which they later reduced to one year following Kansas’ appeal.
