Despite the silence surrounding Matt Haarms’ recruitment, it appears Kentucky remains in the thick of things for the talented 7-foot-3 graduate transfer.
According to a report this morning by Jeff Goodman, Kentucky is a frontrunner for the former Purdue center, with Texas Tech and BYU also remaining in the race.
“Sounds like the frontrunners for Matt Haarms are Kentucky and Texas Tech,” Goodman said. “BYU also still in the mix.”

This comes after recent speculation indicated Kentucky’s confidence had been slipping a bit, while Gonzaga and Arizona were picking up steam for the 7-foot-3 standout.
