The Caleb Swanigan saga has quickly become the strangest college basketball recruiting story of the spring, and now it appears that it may end the way that many of the sport’s more cynical fans have said. On April 10, the five-star center unexpectedly committed to Michigan State. Less than a month later, he rescinded that verbal commitment, and since, Cal and Purdue have been seen as major possibilities.
