Mingione’s current deal, which was signed following a breakthrough 43-win season in 2017, has a base salary of $400,000 and a guaranteed $175,000 in endorsements. The contract was set to expire following the 2022 season.
Mingione, now in his fifth year at the helm, was the 2017 SEC Coach of the Year. The Wildcats won an NCAA regional for the first time in school history in 2017 and were two wins from making their first-ever College World Series.
