According to Toronto Raptors’ beat writer Josh Lewenberg, Murray is NOT expected to play for Canada in the FIBA Americas tournament and will have to report to UK by the university’s “drop-dead date” in order to retain his eligibility.
Canadian National Team’s head coach Jay Triano told Lewenberg that having Murray available was always a long shot, but they wanted him in training camp to further his development. Last night, a Team Canada source told ZagsBlog that Murray’s chances of playing for Team Canada were “not looking good.”
