Report: Florida QB Will Grier Suspended for Rest of Season

Florida quarterback Will Grier, who has led the Gators to a 6-0 start, will reportedly be suspended for the rest of the season for violations of the NCAA’s substance abuse policy.

GridironNow.com’s Mike Huguenin reports that No. 8 Florida will announce Monday that starting redshirt freshman quarterback Will Grier has been suspended for the rest of the season for a violation of NCAA rules. Florida has a press conference scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET.

Additionally, the Miami Herald’s Jesse Simonton reports that Grier’s suspension is for a violation of the NCAA’s substance-abuse policy involving the drug Ligandrol, which carries with it a one-year calendar ban.
