Former University of Kentucky forward Derek Willis has agreed to a one-year deal with the Detroit Pistons, ESPN’s Chris Haynes reported Thursday afternoon.
Terms of the agreement were not immediately made available. Willis tweeted, “Going to be a Detroit Piston!” soon after ESPN reported the signing.

Willis, who was not selected in last month’s NBA Draft, was a member of Detroit’s roster in the Orlando Summer League. He averaged 3.5 points, two rebounds, 1.3 assists and one steal while playing an average of 11 minutes in four summer league games.
