This is the final installation in our “Replacing” series and will act as a case study in Kentucky’s “Recruit and Develop” mantra which is so often used by the Wildcats. Defensive coordinator Brad White has to develop replacements for six players that are now in the NFL. Those defenders combined for 115 college starts. However, the Kordell Looney situation paints a picture of the Kentucky football program’s upward trajectory.
Kordell Looney was not drafted nor has it been reported that he’s signed a free agency deal. However, Looney has been a consistent contributor for the Wildcats over the past four seasons and is worthy of consideration when discussing replacing Kentucky starters/contributors.
