In the season’s first matchup, Kentucky had four players in double digits: Keldon Johnson (20 points), Tyler Herro (20), Reid Travis (17) and PJ Washington (13). Ashton Hagans added six points, but he made strong contributions across the board: seven rebounds, six assists and three steals. Immanuel Quickley and Herro both sank free throws to seal the deal in the final minutes.
The team’s effort was fairly similar last month in round two: three players hit double-digit scoring: PJ Washington (24 points), Tyler Herro (17) and Ashton Hagans (14). Keldon Johnson added eight points. Even without Reid Travis, Kentucky demolished Auburn from the start.
