Kentucky basketball’s annual Blue-White Game was nothing short of a success in Pikeville last weekend. Big Blue Nation filled Appalachian Wireless Arena from top to bottom, raising $162,450 for flood relief in Eastern Kentucky.
And then the basketball was good, too, a competitive back-and-forth matchup with a shorthanded roster. It was a scrimmage that came down to the final shot, with the Blue squad given a chance to tie the game and send it to overtime in the final seconds. That came after a go-ahead make from Jacob Toppin on the other end to take a three-point lead.
