For years we’ve heard about the benefits bowl practices bring to young players, especially the redshirts. Now that Kentucky has finally made it to postseason play, we know the beneficiaries.
The first two people that catch Mark Stoops’ his attention in practice are obvious answers: the two guys simulating Georgia Tech’s triple option quarterback, A.J. Rose and Zy’Aire Hughes. The next person he pointed out individually was defensive end Jaylin Bannerman. He called out Bannerman three times, more than any other play, specifically praising him for his improvement in the pass rush.
After Bannerman, Stoops gave offensive lineman Luke Fortner some praise, echoing Eddie Gran from earlier in the day.
