Coming off a heartbreaking loss at home to Ole Miss, Kentucky needed a solid performance against Vanderbilt today. They got that and more, controlling the game from mid-first quarter to the end of the game. They intercepted Vanderbilt 3 times and outgained the Commodore offense by 100 yards in the first half alone, going into the break up 20-7. They finally successfully stepped on the opponent’s throat in the second half, scoring on almost every drive of the second half and controlling the clock in the fourth quarter.
First Quarter
The game started slow, as Vanderbilt went 3-and-out to open the game and then forced a Kentucky punt on the answering drive.
