As reported by Shams Charania, Rajon Rondo had surgery this morning to repair a sports hernia that he suffered against Oklahoma City on Friday. Originally diagnosed as a groin strain, he is now expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Rondo had been drawing high praise from New Orleans head coach Alvin Gentry, and was projected to be one of four Wildcats (joining Darius Miller, DeMarcus Cousins, and Anthony Davis) in the Pelicans starting lineup.
