The Kentucky Wildcats found out yesterday that if the season ended right now, they’d be a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament. But John Clay of the Lexington Herald Leader said in a column yesterday that they aren’t likely to be so lucky when the season ends. The Wildcats have looked underwhelming all season, and if their current trend continues they aren’t likely to even be .500 in conference play. And if that happens, the Wildcats will likely need a conference tournament run (and even an SEC Championship) to avoid the NIT.
