Following this afternoon’s exciting announcement that Kentucky will play in this year’s Music City Bowl, Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart met with the media to talk the bowl game, the players’ actions in the Louisville game, and the conflict with the Music City Bowl and the UK vs. UofL basketball game.
He began by expressing his excitement surrounding the selection, citing the fun atmosphere and close-proximity of Nashville for Kentucky fans.
“It’s our fifth appearance in the [Music City] bowl game, and we have incredible friends in Nashville,” Barnhart said. “It’s a place that’s sort of become a second home to the University of Kentucky, and it’s a place our fans love to go to.
