5-star combo guard Quentin Grimes has committed to the Kansas Jayhawks.
Grimes is the No. 16 player in the class of 2018 by the 247 Sports Composite, and the No. 11 player on Scout.com’s rankings.
Though John Calipari and Kentucky had interest in Grimes and pursued him, they were never in a favorable position with him. Kansas was the overwhelming favorite in his Crystal Ball, receiving almost every prediction while Kentucky received none.
Grimes visited Kentucky and received visits from Calipari and assistant coach Kenny Payne before making his decision.
Grimes cut his list to seven schools back in August: Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona, Baylor, Marquette, Texas and Texas A&M.
