Quarterback Throws In The Towel In Kentucky, Transfers Out

Kentucky QB Patrick Towles announced on Sunday via social media that he’s transferring out of Kentucky.

Towles spent four seasons with the Wildcats, with two of those (2014 and 2015) as the team’s full-time quarterback. He was subpar, registering as many touchdowns as interceptions (24) and 5,099 yards in 23 games.

The former four-star recruit finished 2015 on a disappointing note, throwing 14 interceptions to nine touchdowns and getting benched after his team lost to Vanderbilt on Nov.14. Kentucky has gone 4-20 in the SEC the last three seasons.

One spot has emerged as a destination for Towles.
