Quarterback run game will remain part of Kentucky offense, regardless of who wins the job

Uk coach Mark Stoops reviews first full scrimmage of spring Jon Hale/Courier Journal

LEXINGTON, Ky. – On paper at least, Kentucky football’s spring quarterback battle appears to be a case study in playing styles.

Sophomores Gunnar Hoak and Terry Wilson were both rated as four-star prospects by ESPN when they signed with Kentucky, but Hoak was listed as a pocket passer and Wilson as a dual-threat quarterback. It would be easy then to consider the quarterback competition between a candidate with the stronger arm and one with the faster legs.
