While most Kentucky fans have their focus on Sawyer Smith’s status, the Arkansas Razorbacks have a quarterback injury of their own.

In a preseason battle between two grad transfer quarterbacks, former A&M gunslinger Nick Starkel edged out Chad Morris’ former quarterback at SMU, Ben Hicks. Playing against his former team, Starkel exited the game early after he suffered an elbow injury on a play that resulted in an interception. Hicks helped the Razorbacks come back from a 14-3 deficit to take a 24-21 lead before they ultimately fell by four points to the Aggies.
