Alex Poythress and Tyler Ulis received good news today when they learned they were named to the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame’s watch lists for awards at their respective positions.
Poythress is one of 20 candidates on the preseason list for the Julius Erving Award, given to the nation’s best small forward; Ulis is one of 20 on the Bob Cousy Award list, given to the best-performing point guard.
Both lists will be cut to 10 in mid-February, then five finalists will be named before the winners are announced at the second annual ESPN College Basketball Awards Show in Los Angeles on April 8.
