LEXINGTON — The playing surface at Kentucky's Nutter Field House has a new name: Rich and Karen Brooks Field.
A gift from donors Brett and Billie Jo Setzer has allowed the football field at the facility where UK football practices to be named after the longtime former Wildcat coach and his wife, the school announced Monday. It's the second time a school has named a playing surface after the coach, as the field at Oregon's Autzen Stadium is also named Rich Brooks Field.
“It’s obviously a very special moment,” Brooks, UK's head football coach from 2003 to 2009, said in a statement.
