“The first week or two, it didn’t hit me. One morning I just walked in here and I was like, ‘Dang, I’m actually here.’ It’s a dream come true,” Cox told KSR.
The Nicholasville native grew up coming to Commonwealth Stadium. The son of season ticket holders, one game stands above the rest, the Cats’ victory over No. 1 LSU in 2007, a game the seven-year old actually wasn’t allowed to attend.
“My dad and brother were (there). I was too little to be at the game because they knew it’d be really wild.”
Now Cox will not be missing a game for a while.
