CHICAGO — Kentucky freshman PJ Washington is nearing a decision about whether to stay in the NBA draft.
"If I get a second-round guarantee, I’m definitely going back to school," Washington said Thursday at the NBA combine. "Right now if it’s first round, I believe I should take it, if it’s second round I believe I should come back."
Washington's father, Paul Washington, recently told Courier Journal a first-round guarantee would ensure his son remains in the draft but an early second-round projection might be enough for PJ Washington to decide to remain in the draft.
