For the first time this season, a Kentucky Wildcat has been named SEC Player of the Week. PJ Washington shares the honor with Tennessee guard Jordan Bone after impressive performances at Vanderbilt and Florida.
In those two games, PJ averaged 20.5 points, 12 rebounds and two assists and shot a team-best 53.6 percent from the field and 75 percent from three. PJ has had three straight double doubles, the first Kentucky player to do so since Julius Randle in the 2013-2014 season. After he sparked Kentucky’s comeback at Florida by demanding better from his teammates, Bryce Drew said he believes PJ is the most improved player in the country.
