On Monday, The Sporting News (one of the four NCAA-recognized All-America teams that the NCAA uses for its consensus All-America teams) named Washington to its All-America Third Team. He is UK’s first All-American by the publication since Malik Monk made The Sporting News’ second team in 2017.
