Mississippi State head football coach Mike Leach was transported to the hospital early Sunday after he suffered a “personal health issue” at his home.
In a statement from the university, the health issue led to a decision to transfer Coach Leach to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson by ambulance. Those were the only details they could share at this time.
Defensive coordinator Zach Arnett has been granted authority to lead the Mississippi State football program in Leach’s absence.
Mike Leach just concluded his third season in Starkville with his best team yet.
