Penn State Hires Former Kentucky Player Gerad Parker as Wide Receivers Coach

Penn State announced Gerad Parker as its new wide receivers coach on Thursday. Parker fills the void on the staff after James Franklin relieved David Corley of his duties on Jan. 2. Parker comes to Happy Valley following a stint as the receivers coach at Duke.

Prior to that, he was the interim head coach at Purdue following the dismissal of Darrell Hazell, and coached WR/TE for the Boilermakers from 2013 to 2016. He coached wide receivers at Marshall, alongside Nittany Lion running backs coach JaJuan Seider, for two seasons following brief stints at UT Martin and Kentucky.
