Leading into the Citrus Bowl, coaches from each team have had over a month to praise their opponent before they attempt to bash their heads into the Camping World Stadium turf.
At this morning’s Citrus Bowl press conference, James Franklin said he was honored to compete against a storied program like Kentucky. “I’m a huge Coach Stoops fan.”
Although most of the talk is posturing, there’s some truth behind each statement. Franklin has repeatedly relayed his regret that Josh Allen got out of the state of New Jersey, a primary Penn State recruiting pipeline, to play for Stoops at Kentucky.
