After a magical final season in Lexington that included an 8-5 overall record, a victory in the Belk Bowl, and broken record after broken record, the Paul Hornung Award Committee officially welcomed Lynn Bowden Jr. to their family on Monday evening.
“Lynn is a positionless player that can only be described as an offensive weapon,” the Paul Hornung Award Committee wrote on Twitter. “He cemented himself as a Kentucky legend in his last career game, rushing 34 times for 233 yards and passing for 75 more. After a season ending injury to the Wildcats’ starting QB, Bowden stepped up and made play after play, rushing, receiving, and passing.
